Infinum Evenings : Drawing Boundaries – Physical, Emotional & Psychological

Have you felt an intrusion into your personal space by someone standing very close to you or patting you in a non-sexual way? An act, that you didn’t appreciate, but were too nice to tell them off?

Have you felt a compulsion to explain away your feelings or actions to someone? That someone could be the most significant person for you or just a random stranger.

Have you knowingly or inadvertently violated someone else’s personal space ?

Did you ever commit to do something, but didn’t care to complete it? Or didn’t stick to the committed time, making the other wait for long?

All these are examples of violation of personal boundaries in different ways!

How do we understand and decide on our personal boundaries in all three areas- physical, emotional and psychological?

How do we becoming mindful of the boundaries of others?

Boundaries are vital for creating a safe space for ourselves and building healthy relationships. They ensure our needs and feelings are respected; we do not get into undesirable situations with others; or do not allow others to control us physically, emotionally or psychologically without our consent.

We can all learn to draw healthy boundaries; and respect the boundaries which others draw for themselves.

Come join the forthcoming session of Infinum Evenings, to understand how to start becoming conscious about boundaries.
