Infinum Evenings : Recurring Patterns of Feeling, Thinking & Behaviour

Recurring patterns of feelings, thoughts and behaviour are common amongst most of us.

Many of these are a result of our past experiences, from childhood onwards. These include messages we received from our parents, significant adults and friends around us. Some of the patterns maybe healthy, but many are not; as they were developed when our capacity to reason and logic was limited.

These recurring feelings, thoughts and behaviour patterns were the result of our learnings from different experiences, on how to cope with our environment.

The unhealthy recurring patterns that continue with us in life, tend to –

  • Impact our mental health with negative feelings and thoughts.
  • Make us act or react in manners that cause conflicts with others in relationships.
  • Act as severe inhibitors in our quest for progress towards our aspirations and life goals; thus impacting our overall happiness and satisfaction in life.

It is important, therefore, to bring awareness to these patterns as adults and learn how to move beyond them.
