The multiplicity of sexuality and gender has manifested itself in different cultures and at different times; it is not a new phenomenon in itself. Universally the world has formed around binary – heterosexual identity. However, the reality is that same sex relationships have also existed forever.
Understanding and Accepting this truth will help form a truly inclusive society with respect to all.
In this Pride Month, at Infinum Evenings we will explore about this formation and the rationale behind it from a sociological point of view.
We often think about LGBTQ+ as an alien or foreign concept that has invaded our culture; but when we understand the rationale, we understand it always existed while we have formed our society around only heterosexual identities due to closed mindsets.
