Conflict is inevitable in our lives. German Philosopher G.W.F. Hegel’s dialectic theory talks about inter-connected-ness and unity in opposites. For Example: Life & Death, Day & Night , Freedom & Bondage, Simplicity & Complexity are opposites that cannot exist without the other.
Thesis generates Anti-Thesis; and when these merge, it leads to Synthesis; which is Growth, Expansion and Evolution.
This month our topic of discussion is – Managing Conflict with Grace!
Our Special Guest – Susan George PhD & TSTA(P) will lead the session, hosted by
Ragini Rao – Psychotherapist & Trainer; Teaching & Supervising Transactional Analyst (TSTA); and
Nisha Rao – Educator, Counsellor & Life Coach.
Susan has the following view about Conflict –
“Free flow of energy is essential for joyful living. Stuck-ness in energy leads to conflict both internal and external.
Today, Chennai is experiencing rains and flooding. The flooding results because the rate at which water comes in, is greater than the rate at which it flows out. In our conversation, we will explore a similar flooding and flow in inter-personal and intra-psychic contexts”
About Susan George
Susan George has been associated with Transactional Analysis (TA) for nearly 30 years; and is a Teaching & Supervising Transactional Analyst (TSTA -Psychotherapy). She is also a certified Master practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming and a PG Diploma in Applied Buddhist Psychology. She has trained in Gestalt and Anthroposophy.
Susan is a practicing counsellor and psychotherapist. She has made a difference in the lives of many individuals, couples and families; who have benefited from her integrative approach, which is mainly based on TA and NLP & Gestalt. She holds a doctorate from IIT Madras and has retired as Registrar from Women’sChristian College, Chennai.
She is a founding Trustee of South Asian Association of Transactional Analysts(SAATA).
